I had a membership here and it's a nice place with a big variety of quality exercise equipment. With a black card you get tanning and access to massage beds and chairs. There are locker rooms and the staff is friendly. Fees are auto pay and linked to an account. It's worth the price.
I'm really unsure what I have to do to get all of my money that I paid back. Better Business Bureau? I've threatened and threatened but I may actually have to do it! I signed up for a ONE YEAR black card membership in February of 2016. I called in February of 2017 and spoke with one of MANY of their RUDE employees and told this woman I needed to cancel my membership and asked her how to do this. She asked me some basic info (name, dob, etc) and told me that my membership was canceled! She didn't tell me I had to come in to cancel my membership. The money comes out of my fiancé's checking account, which we only use for two items we pay out. Other than that the money we make is in my account or in cash. I did not notice nor did I pay attention to the continuous almost $20 monthly coming out, until June when we were charged the $30 annual fee!! So I called and again was told NO MORE FUNDS WOULD BE TAKEN, my membership was canceled, but of course NO REFUND. This $30 annual fee caused a $36 fee from our bank! Which they were well aware this happened! I asked the next rude employee I spoke with who the district manager was and his phone number. I called this man MULTIPLE TIMES, leaving MULTIPLE messages until I just gave up. The woman told me it was cancelled so I didn't have to worry anymore and I was going to deal with my loss. So the district manager didn't even care enough to reach me back until almost two weeks later. I didn't even call back, I was so fed up. I then checked the bank account again because I got a notice from one of our bills that a payment had been returned and they were going to attempt to take it again, BEHOLD ANOTHER PLANET FITNESS PAYMENT. At this point I was absolutely FURIOUS and called again, asked to speak with the manager, who was THE ONLY decent person I had spoken to. He managed to refund only $39.98 of the $166 they owe me. He told me he would continue to work on it and call me regardless of if he could refund the rest or couldn't get it. I NEVER RECEIVED A CALL BACK. I want the remaining $126.02. IMMEDIATELY. Before I go to the BBB! I've never dealt with a company SO ARROGANT AND INDECENT in my life!!! Waiting now on a call back from the manager from this store so I can FIGHT with them AGAIN.
Excellent staff and equipment. Very helpful regardless of your fitness level.
Whether you are paying $10 or $20 per month, you can't beat this place or the price. You can save $10 a month for the next five years and not buy one piece of equipment of this quality for your home. While previous trainers were seldom seen, Logan is on the floor constantly and always happy to help. Hope he sticks around.
It's what you expect from a Planet Fitness vibe. Descent gym. Overall as Planet Fitness gyms go it's nice, sizeable and clean. Not bad after the high schoolers and college students get done there. Then, you'll have much less wait time (if any) to get your workout finished.
